Transcript:

I am the weather girl today 🙂

I have my umbrella and my rain boots

I don’t have a raincoat but this is waterproof

So if it’s raining just a little bit you can say: it’s misting; it’s sprinkling or it’s drizzling.

If it’s raining a lot you can say: it’s pouring or it’s really coming down or it’s raining cats and dogs.

When water is on the ground like this it’s called a puddle; my kids like to jump in the puddle or Splash around in the puddle;

If there is a streak of light in the sky that is lightning and the sound that you hear is thunder;

So, if there’s thunder and lightning we say: it’s a thunderstorm or it’s stormy;

If you like the rain and somebody asks you how’s the weather you can say: it’s rainy / it’s so cozy today

But if you don’t like the rain and somebody asks you you can say: it’s rainy out / it’s gloomy / it’s yucky out / it’s nasty today /  it’s gross out…

What about you? Do you like the rain? Let me know in the comments.
