We are at our friend’s wedding!
– The venue: place where an event takes place.
– The cards and gifts.
– The groom walks his grandma and mom down the aisle first.
– The groomsmen and bridesmaids walk down the aisle.
– The father of the bride walks his daughter down the aisle.
The guests always stand for this.
We say “the father gives his daughter away“.
– The ceremony which includes a message and exchange of vows between the bride & groom.
– The exchange of rings!
– You may now kiss the bride.
– The bride and groom are receiving prayers and blessings.
– The food.
It’s a buffet of typical southern food.
Sweet potatoes.
Macaroni & cheese.
Green beans.
Pulled pork & chicken.
– All the guests eat and hang out.
– Cutting the cake + feeding each other the first bite.
– The best man gives a speech.
– The maid of honor gives a speech.
– The first dance between the bride and groom.
– The dance between the bride and her father.
– The dance between the groom and his mother.
– Everyone is welcome to dance… but no one goes hahaha
