One of the hardest things about travel is sickness.
Last Saturday, Maddox started to complain about his throat hurting and before you know it all my 3 kids were with fevers, two of them throwing up. Needless to say, it’s been a LONG week with little sleep. We saw a doctor but it’s just a virus so we have to wait it out.
Ivory is completely better, but Kai and Maddox still have bad coughs. I’ve been taking so many supplements, but I can tell my immune system is low. I’ve tried to rest as much as possible this week.
I thought I would take the time to teach you a few expressions you can say when talking about sickness:
I’m under the weather.
Definition: I’m not feeling well
Example: I can’t come to your party tonight because I’m under the weather.
I caught a bug.
Definition: I am sick
Example: I won’t be coming in to work tomorrow. I caught a bug.

4 things to say to someone who IS sick:

- I hope you feel better
- I’m sorry, that sucks, feel better soon. (informal)
- Is there anything I can do for you? Sending my love. (To a family member or good friend)
